A style transfer neural network was trained with dozens of real photographs of lightning bolts to then inform the creation of this imagery. The tedious process of rendering out the artificial intelligence frame by frame, dozen over dozen, evening after evening, resulted in this dynamic edit of some of the Bolt’s most renowned players.
